Dr. Laura Van completed her undergraduate studies at University of Southern California and obtained her dental doctorate at University of California in Los Angeles, where she graduated with honors in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Van was recognized at school for her academic excellence, leadership skills, and promise in the pediatric dentistry field. Dr. Van continued her specialized residency training at NYU Langone, where she received a certificate in pediatric dentistry.

Dedicated to providing compassionate and quality dental care for children, Dr. Van’s love for working with kids has always been an attribute of hers. She looks forward to impacting children on an individual basis and helping them develop healthy, lifelong oral habits.

Treating children with special needs is another passion of Dr. Van’s. During her residency, she had the unique opportunity to train at Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, where she provided quality, specialized care for severely medically compromised children.

She has been repeatedly praised for her gentle touch and empathetic chairside manner with children and their families.

Dr. Van is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and locally with the New York County Dental Society.

A fun fact about Dr. Van is that she hated candy and watching TV as a little girl, and instead preferred to cut Barbie’s hair and play school with her older sister.  We’re delighted at Park Smiles NYC Pediatrics that Dr. Van chose to become a pediatric dentist instead of a beautician, and are very fortunate and proud to have her as a member of our team!

In her free time, Dr. Van enjoys yoga, cooking, spending time outdoors and traveling.
